Call for Abstracts - OPEN
ABSTRACT RULES AND GUIDELINES
1. Individuals may present only one abstract, containing original research which has not been presented at another meeting.
2. Abstracts must be submitted via email to edmabstracts@qmul.ac.uk. Faxes, photocopies or emailed copies will not be reviewed.
3. There will not be an abstract replacement period.
Important Submission Elements
Titles: Abstract titles are limited to 10 words or less and entered in title case format in bold. Capitalize the first letter of each word unless it is a preposition or article.
Authors: Enter first (given) name, and last (family/surname) name for each author plus institution/affiliation. Identify the presenting author with an asterisk. EDMC will not list each author’s department in the Program Book due to space limitations.
Abstract Text: All abstracts should be 300 words or less. Abstracts should be composed in MS Word. Tables are permitted but should be simple and concise. Graphics/images are not permitted.
Content of the Abstract: The abstract must contain; Objectives, Methods, Results including data (where appropriate, statistics) and Conclusions. Please include these subtitles in the text in bold. All funding bodies should be mentioned at the end of the abstract.

All abstracts need to be submitted to edmabstracts@qmul.ac.uk by 31st May 2017.
Abstracts will be published in a conference proceeding.
You will be sent notification confirming your sequence number, time, presentation and poster placement (the notices will be sent to all presenters at once just after the registration deadline). If you do not register before 15.06.2017 your abstract will be withdrawn from the final Program Book.
Presenter Agreement
All presenters must agree to the following conditions when submitting an abstract:
1, Affirm that any work with human or animal subjects reported in the abstract complies with the guiding principles for experimental procedures found in the Declaration of Helsinki of the World Medical Association, and this research project has been duly cleared by my Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Institutional Ethics Committee or an equivalent ethical body.
2, Affirm that the work has not been published (in print or electronically) or presented elsewhere prior to the EDMC Meeting.
3. Agree that if the abstract is accepted, EDMC has permission to publish the abstract in printed and/or electronic formats.
4. Agree to pre-register for the meeting and pay the appropriate registration fee by the presenter pre-registration deadline of 15.06.2017.
